honey those were the best years of my life.

i was honest, innocent, i believed in Santa Clause,

and the tooth fairy, i believe in happily ever after.

i believed no guy would ever hurt me, i was young and innocent.

and now i look and all these little kids have cell phones,

and i don't understand why they want to grow up so fast.

i didn't have to worry about drama, gossip, and mean girls.

i didn't have to worry about looking good for the boys.

because they were all  my best friends, even without make up, without designer bags, clothes, or even without brushing my hair.

a big group of friends, sneaking out of the house,              feeling lonely, staying in, late nights

my first kiss, late nights under the stars, crying                   studying for the maths test, waking up

on my best friend's shoulder, passing notes in                   early, tiredness, school all day and

class, going on adventures, getting out of the                     homework all night. being stressed out

town, telling secrets, feeling what it's like to fall in               trapped in the town i hate, feeling

love for the first time, getting lost, endless                           nothing remotely close to love, crying

laughter, happiest years of my life.                                       far too often. spending too much time
